If you are using Dragon templates in your dictation, you have noticed when you call up the template with a Dragon voice command, Dragon fills in the word editor with the text of the template, but leaves the cursor at the bottom of the screen. However, if you are using variable fields, you want to start with the cursor at the top of the page.
To get there, you can press PAGE UP one or more times to get to the top of the screen, or you can use the mouse to drag the scroll bar to the top and click where you want your cursor to be positioned.
However, the easiest way to get to the top of the document is to press the INS/OVR button on the SpeechMike handset, which should take you to the top of the document.
