LSS 5.6.4: Copying Vitals

Overview: Selected vitals can be copied from the vitals entered for past documents for insertion into new notes.

Location: Vitals panel accessed by clicking on the Vitals sidebar button in the patient's electronic chart (EAR).

Display: When the Vitals button is pressed, the vital sign screen will be shown, with the most recent vitals listed in a table form.

Buttons:
Later: Clicking on this button will display a table of vital signs from visits that occurred later than the currently displayed information.

Earlier: Click on this button will display a table of vital signs from visits that occurred before the currently displayed information.

To select vitals to be copied to the clipboard for later use, right click on any vital sign you want to select.  (Selectable vital signs include pulse, temperature, and blood pressure).  This information will be copied to the My Data clipboard and the selected vital sign will be highlighted in green.  Right click on any vital sign to deselect it.

My Data: .Clicking on this button with show a complete list of the vital signs you have selected in the My Data popu window.  You can unselect any vital sign by clicking on the box under the Delete column.  When you are done, click the Return button to save the changes and leave the My Data window.

If you now go to documents and edit a document, the My Data button at the bottom of the editing window will be active indicating that you have data available to insert into your current document.  Check or uncheck the entries as you desire and press the Insert button to insert the data in table form into your document.
