From the Summary List screen in the Electronic Ambulatory Record (EAR), you can select the Lab tab button on the side menu. The first screen of information displayed will either be the Lifetime Summary list of labs or lab values for the Selected Visits list.
When viewing the Lifetime Summary, the screen will display the most recent value recorded for any lab test anywhere in the entire system. The list is divided into categories such as Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urine, Toxicology, etc. Click on a toggle button to display the lab values under each category. The dates of the most recent values for each test displayed may not be the same for the whole list, dependening on when each individual test was performed. Only one value for each test will be displayed.
To view all the measured values for an individual test prior to the most recent value displayed, click on the name of the test. Select the toggle button indicating how far back you want to view test results for this test, i.e. 6 Months, 1Year, 2 Years, 5 Years, 7 Years, 10 Years, All.
All the values for that test in the time range you selected should be displayed. If you wish to see more detail about any one result, click on the blue i icon.
Click on the Back footer button to return to the Lifetime Summary view.
If you wish to see only the lab work associated the the visits you have selected, then click on the Selected Visits toggle button. Usually, the selected visits will include only outpatient labs for your clinic as measured over time. Now when you select a category of lab tests, all the lab work available over multiple visits to your clinic can be seen.
When you select a chart from your practice screen, the selected visit includes only the outpatient account for your clinic by default, and does not include other accounts (such as inpatient, emergency room or urgent care visits). Therefore, the selected visit screen will display lab work measured in your clinic only.
When you select a chart by going through the Any Record process, you are able to select more than one account to view with the electronic chart. Other accounts you may select can include inpatient visits, emergency room visits, etc. In this case. the selected visit screen may include lab work from other facilities.
Also, many measured values of labwork can be selected by right clicking on the value, which will copy the data to the My Data clipboard, which can then be inserted into your documentation.
